What you can Do your Current Living Space Clean
The Paris Climate Agreement did not work for the US president Donald Trump’s vision for his country. As a result he has started the leaving process which has left a lot of unanswered about America’s proposed actions for the environment. Even with this there is still much that needs to be done both at home and abroad. There are various seemingly small projects that each one can take that could add up to a huge difference. The the question is: What can you do for your local area?
Taking Care of Bees
It goes without arguing that bees play a big part in the ecosystem. They are responsible for the pollination of flowers. It might not sound as good proposition to attract bees to your garden, but when you come to think of it, they rarely harm anyone. If you are feeling brave enough, you can take up the challenge of adding a few hives in your garden and even train to be a beekeeper. You do not necessarily need much space to attract bees, you can still use potted plants that will attract them.
Taking Care of Insects
Other insects are also important for the natural habitat too. Many provide a valued food source for the birds and other local wildlife that might wander into your garden. You can improve the area of the insects by maintaining the garden green. Instead of paving it and making it a low-maintenance area, leave it to grow a little wild. The insects and birds love it, and your local community will greatly benefit from the beautiful birdsong it will attract. Having a lawn makes this achievable.
The value of the hedges is always underrated. Hedges do provide homes for the small mammals, insects, birds, and some even provide you with fruits, berries, and nuts to eat. The the main objective for growing bushes around a property is to keep the air clean.
Do some Cleaning
Leaving all work to the local authority leaves fewer chances to clean everything all the time. You sure do pay your taxes and do your part by using the litter bins, but still, there still can be a lot of litter that is blown over the streets and parks. Volunteer a few hours to clean up and everyone will get to enjoy a better and safer environment.
Take a day Off from Work
If your commute to work in your car, check if your boss will be willing to give you a day of remote working from home. Think of the many ways that you can give your car a day off and be able to save a fortune. You can choose to share cars with others, or walk to the shopping mall instead of driving or even use public transport or cycle.
